Patient Stories of Recovery
We have heard numerous inspiring stories of individuals who have successfully recovered by adopting a non-surgical bracing protocol, where indicated. This novel bracing protocol should be discussed with your treating doctor.
These patient stories can serve as a great source of motivation and encouragement as you navigate your own healing journey.
Early Results from a Sports Clinic in Sydney Australia with the Cross Bracing Protocol
More than 900 ACL injured patients seen and evaluated.
Approximately 50% of patients with an ACL injury are referred directly for ACL Reconstructive surgery based on the MRI classification of their ACL injury and/or personal factors. The remaining 50% were given the option of non-surgical treatment: the Cross Bracing Protocol.
Results for those following the Cross Bracing Protocol (CBP):
- 75% completed the full 12 week CBP, 25% had a shorter treatment protocol for personal or clinical reasons.
- Results at a minimum of 12 weeks follow up after the full CBP:
- 50% excellent result
- 35% good result
- 15% poor result with subsequent ACL Reconstruction surgery recommended.
